Tip #2 What matters most

What matters most

Have you ever wondered why some women seem to have it altogether? Well, the truth is, they probably don’t, but they might be close.

Mums from all walks of life

struggle at times with their work/home balance. If you take a few minutes out of your busy schedules to work out what matters most to you, you can make huge headway in getting it altogether.

FOCUSING ON WHAT MATTERS MOST

Have a look at this list and choose the five most important things to you in your life at the moment. This list of 5 most important things are your values.

Choose five values that are most important to you
As a working mother spending less time on the areas of your life that you say really matter the most to you can cause some real stress. " Alison Mulvaney

For example: Do you say that fun with your kids is important, but you’re spending all your time doing jobs to look after them, and not having any fun with them? What if your health is important but you don’t find the time to exercise or your husband is important to you but you never get around to organising that Date Night.

By focusing on your values, your life simplifies, you get some energy back and it frees up some time for you. How does it simplify? Well, when you start to focus on your values it refuels your Mummy Tank and you start to say no and start to delegate things that don’t matter as much to you.

By really finding that focus you spend your time on the things that matter and reenergise you. Try it. It works!
